I'm a windsurf foilstylist and freediver living in Vasiliki, Greece. I started windsurfing in 2015 and foilstyling in 2018 after building a low litre foil board from an old freestyle board. Since then I've been lucky enough to spend every summer foiling and pushing to learn new tricks.

How old were you when you became a waterman?
20
Which foil disciplines do you practice?
Windfoil
What do you love about hydrofoil compared to other watersports?
You have a much great wind range on a foil, meaning you can have the session of the season in conditions you might not normally even bother heading to the beach for. The foil allows you get some serious air time with your tricks. It just makes windsurfing more fun!
What's your favorite trick or riding style?
You can never go wrong with a good shaka!
Which are your 3 favorite spots for foiling? Why?
- Vasiliki: Is where I really honed my windsurfing and is the place I now call home. There's nothing like a pre-season session in an empty bay before the tourists arrive for the summer.
- Calshot beach, south coast UK: Is where I first learned to windsurf. Although I only get to sail there maybe once a year now. I feel real nostalgia remembering how excited I used to get for every session all those years ago.
- Dahab, Egypt: What can I say? It's warm, windy and full of awesome people!
Other passions besides hydrofoiling?
I love freediving and actually run my own school here in Greece. The deep relaxtion and calm you get freediving provides great balance to the excitment and occational adrenaline I get foiling.
