KSD780-FCM-370-85/BB - Sea Devil 780-FCM-370-85 Blackbird Glider - Modular Backtail
Sea Devil Blackbird WSD780/BB: Carving and Rail-to-Rail Transitions
The Sea Devil 780 Blackbird brings the surf-oriented DNA of the Sea Devil into the new Blackbird system, combining radical carving, stability at speed, and maximum modularity. A playful, efficient, and precise front wing, designed for riders who want to push hard through turns, pump back to the lineup, and take full advantage of the compatibility with full-carbon fuselages and Kraken stabilizers.
The Sea Devil DNA, evolved with Blackbird technology
The Sea Devil 780 Blackbird was created to bring the iconic feel of the Sea Devil family into the new Blackbird architecture: more modular, more evolved, and more customizable.
It is a front wing designed for riders looking for a foil that feels reactive, playful, and precise through carves, while still maintaining efficiency, control, and stability as speed increases.
The result is a surf-oriented feeling, ideal for drawing powerful lines, moving quickly from rail to rail, and keeping rhythm between one wave section and the next.
Smooth carving, immediate response
The delta shape of the Sea Devil 780 Blackbird delivers exceptional maneuverability through turns. Its profile concentrates more volume in the central area of the wing and gradually reduces it toward the tips, creating a stable feel underfoot while remaining free and reactive when loaded laterally.
This distribution makes the wing feel natural on turn entry, solid through the carve, and fast on exit, inviting the rider to push harder, tighten the line, and change direction with fluidity.
Stability at speed, without losing playfulness
The integrated winglets help maintain control and stability as the foil accelerates, especially when the rider is setting up for a carve or entering a faster section of the wave.
The feeling is that of a foil that is always ready to react, yet never nervous when speed increases: playful from rail to rail, precise through turns, and efficient when pumping back to the lineup or linking multiple sections.
The advantages of the Blackbird system
Thanks to its Blackbird construction, the Sea Devil 780 becomes part of a fully modular system, compatible with the new S, M, and L full-carbon fuselages and with the full range of Kraken stabilizers or Blackbird integrated stabs.
This allows the setup to be customized according to riding style, conditions, and desired feel: more reactive and radical with shorter fuselages, more stable and progressive with longer fuselages.
Recommended for
The Sea Devil 780 Blackbird is designed for riders who want a surf-oriented, dynamic, and precise foil, with a strong focus on carving and rail-to-rail transitions.
It is ideal for riders looking for:
smooth and aggressive carving
playful rail-to-rail feeling
stability as speed increases
efficient pumping back to the lineup
modularity with full-carbon fuselages and Kraken stabilizers
the Sea Devil DNA with all the advantages of the Blackbird system
Note on RAW mode
On this model, RAW mode without stabilizer is not available, because the front wing size does not allow the foil to be self-stable.
However, with the right combination of fuselage and Kraken stabilizer, the feeling remains close to the Sea Devil sensations riders are used to: free, surfy, direct, and very natural underfoot.
